Olathe Red, White, and Blue Independence Day Celebration

Mark your calendars for Olathe – Red, White, and Blue, a week filled with fireworks, music, and fun.

  • July 4 – Celebrate Independence Day with the annual fireworks display at College Boulevard Activity Complex (11031 S. Valley Pkwy.). The show begins at dark, approximately 9:45 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and be prepared for high traffic volumes.
  • July 4 – Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm (1200 E. Kansas City Rd.) celebrates Independence Day, 1860s style! Independence Day in the 1860s was the biggest holiday of the year. Take a stagecoach ride, see what is cooking on the cookstove, and meet Uncle Sam!
  • July 11 – Mahaffie continues the celebration with 19th Century non-aerial fireworks on the Mahaffie grounds. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with free admission. A small fee applies for some activities. The fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.
  • July 12 – Complete the week with Olathe Live! The evening of free music and activities will take place at Frontier Park (15501 Indian Creek Pkwy). Activities begin at 6 p.m. Olathe-favorite Liverpool will take the stage with special guest Brody Buster’s One Man Band.
