Indian Creek update
The raised flooring at the front entry and throughout the commons/café area is now being installed. The tiles are a highly durable yet attractive product imported from Italy, which should provide a warm and easy-to-clean environment.
Our new service desks are beginning to arrive. The desks are custom made locally, using the same repurposed elm wood featured throughout the library. This particular service desk is equipped to raise and lower, adjusting to the needs of customers and staff.
Progress continues in the children's program room where carpet has been installed. Generating even greater excitement is the installation of the bubble wall bench, where the inner workings of the bubble wall will reside. We're getting closer to bubble time!
In this view of the marketplace elm wood wall you can see one of the future materials return openings into the automated materials handling room. Further down the wall is the Friends Bookstore, which can be seen better in the image below.
