Celebrate Spooktober with family-friendly Halloween themed events

Halloween is a fun time in Olathe! Celebrate by enjoying three spooky, family-friendly events:

  • Celebrate Olathe is Friday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center (1205 E Kansas City Rd.) The evening will feature the Trick-or-Treat Trail, face painting, food trucks, and more. Grab your costume and get ready for a spooktacular night. Parking is available at Olathe North with a free shuttle provided. Learn more at OlatheKS.org/CelebrateOlathe.
  • Trick-or-Treat off the Street:  Saturday, Oct. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm (1200 E Kansas City Rd.) Dress in your Halloween costume and experience living history activities. Admission is $3 per person if purchased before Oct. 26 and $4 per person if purchased at the gate. Admission includes a horse-drawn hay wagon ride, games, crafts, and candy stations sponsored by local organizations. Parking is available at Olathe North with a free shuttle provided. Haunted Swamp:  Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center (1205 E Kansas City Rd.) Activities begin with pumpkin decorating, followed by lifeguard trick-or-treating, a pumpkin dive, and an open swim in the swamp. Admission is $10 per child for Olathe residents, $15 per child for non-residents. Registration is available online, by phone 913-971-8563, or in person at the Olathe Community Center.
