Public Service Application

The Mayor of Olathe appoints board members subject to confirmation by the Olathe City Council.

The purpose of the Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board (PDAB) is to serve as a permanent committee of the Human Relations Commission and provide advice on special concerns of the disabled and elderly. Functions of PDAB include:

  • Acting in an advisory role to improve access to all public facilities and activities for citizens with disabilities.
  • Recommending measures to eliminate prejudice and discrimination to the Human Relations Commission, Olathe City Council and the City Manager.
  • Promoting communication to enhance the quality of life for Olathe citizens with disabilities.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm in the City of Governors Conference Room located in City Hall at 100 E. Santa Fe.
