The City of Olathe City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on May 5, 2020, in-person at City Hall. In an effort to follow social distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a limited amount of space and chairs available in the Council Chambers to accommodate the public. The public is free to submit written comments via email to CCO@OlatheKS.org.
Members of the public are encouraged to watch the meeting live on OGN (Comcast channel 7, AT&T channel 99, and on the City’s website) or at their own convenience once the meeting video is archived within hours of its conclusion.
The public is invited to attend all City Council meetings or watch the Olathe City Council meeting LIVE on Olathe Government Network.
The Olathe City Council provides leadership to the citizens of Olathe and the City staff, to ensure the efficient operation of City services and expenditure of public funds by:
- Making general policy decisions and instructing the City Manager to oversee the implementation and operation of such direction.
- Passing ordinances, resolutions and proclamations that have a direct Impact on the community of Olathe.
- Adopting the City’s annual Operating Budget and the five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
