New Interactive Capital Improvement Plan Map
The City has created a new interactive Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) map. The map shows all projects which were included in the 2013-2017 CIP, including street projects, water and sewer projects, parks, etc. Check it out and send questions to the Budget Office. The 2014-2018 CIP will be presented at the June 18th Council meeting.
Olathe Continues New Program to Expand Resident Engagement Opportunities
The City of Olathe is piloting a new program to enhance citizen engagement opportunities, Open Town Hall, as part of its ongoing E-Town Hall initiative. During the pilot period, residents will have another tool to weigh in on a number of topics through an online forum accessible on the City’s website. Save the Date!
The next City Council meeting regarding the 2014 budget is June 18th, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall (100 E. Santa Fe). The meeting agenda will contain the proposed 2014 Budget and 2014-2018 Capital Improvement Plan as well as the proposed 2014 rates and fees. The Chamber of Commerce and Olathe Public Library will also present their proposed 2014 budgets to the Council.
